Check In and Check Out

·          You may arrive at your cabin any time after 3:00pm.  A combination lock box containing keys will be mounted at the door. You will be given the combination and specific directions to your cabin.

        Check Out is 11:00am. Please Wash the dishes and place trash in the correct receptacles.  Please secure the cabin before departure and return the key to the lock box.  Extra keys may be placed on the kitchen table. There is a $50 charge for lost keys.                                      

                              Occupancy and Housekeeping

O      Occupancy is limited to the maximum number of guests accommodated by each cabin.     Paid guests only, please.

·          Pets are allowed at cabins   Pets must be approved by our office before arrival. Pet fee is $30 per visit. Limit two pets per cabin. There will be a $500 charge plus damages if pets are brought into non-pet friendly cabins or lodge.

·     Smoking is not allowed inside the cabins   You are welcome to smoke outside.  Ashtrays are provided.  There is a $500 charge plus damages for smoking in the buildings.

·          We treat our cabins for pests but remember the cabins are in the woods and you may encounter insects and spiders.

 Amenities

·          We provide linens, towels, toilet paper, paper towels, trash bags, and dish washing detergent.

·          Please notify our office of any damages, shortages, or housekeeping issues upon arrival

·          On rare occasions appliances, hot tubs, fireplaces, etc. can malfunction.  We will do our best to service these amenities as soon as possible.

·          In the event of a loss outside of our control such as time without electricity, water, satellite TV, etc. we cannot make any rental concessions. However, we will respond as soon as possible to restore these amenities.

·          We will do our very best to have your cabin ready for you by 3:00pm. Due to cleaning and servicing your hot tub may not be at full temperature when you arrive and may need several hours to heat.

·          We will respond as soon as possible to clear snow and ice from driveways. However, four- wheel- drive is recommended in Winter at some cabins.

·          We ask that you follow all guidelines and policies regarding use of amenities and property restrictions.

 

Policies and rates are subject to change without notice. We reserve the right to charge your credit card for any damages or excessive cleaning required after your stay. We reserve the right to refuse any reservation. The owners and management of Deer Mountain Retreat assume no responsibility for damages or loss of items belonging to our guests. 

I  take full precautions for my own safety.  I agree that I shall indemnify and hold the “HHH” harmless for any and liability, and or loss resulting from the use of said facilities.  I will not assign any of these rights under this agreement express written consent of management.  This agreement shall be construed under the law of the State of Ohio.  Should  any litigation be taken by or against “HHH” over this lease or the use of the lodging  the only venue in Hocking County, Ohio and lessee will be responsible for any legal fees that might be incurred by the owners.  Any other rules or instructions given to or located in my lodging or applied by DMR management company are incorporated herein by reference.

The Hocking Hills Homestead invites you to visit our cabin and homestead. We offer cabin rentals and vacation lodging with a pet friendly environment close to Old Man's Cave - In fact, we are within a mile of Hocking Hills State Park. Hocking Hills State Park offers over 25 miles of hiking trails in the nearby Ash Cave, Cedar Falls, Conkle's Hollow, Rock House, Cantwell Cliffs and, of course, Old Man's Cave. More hiking and outdoor adventures can be found close at hand at Wayne National Forest, Zaleski State Forest and Lake Hope State Park. There are also special events like Winter Hike, Haunted Hocking and Grandma Gatewood Fall Hike all year long. For those nature lovers who also like to shop, there are antique galleries and gift shops tucked all around the Appalachian hillsides along with plenty of family restaurants and elegant dining.
